ter Driver Software

A network device driver must be installed before the SGI Gigabit Ethernet Adapter can be used

with your Windows NT system. If the adapter hardware and software has been pre-installed in

your system, you may wish to skip to “Changing Configuration Parameters” on page 3-6. This

chapter describes how to perform the following tasks:

Installing the driver software in the Windows NT environment

Changing the driver configuration once installed

Updating or reinstalling the driver software

Moving or removing the driver software

The adapter must be physically installed in your server or workstation prior to install-

ing the driver software. See Chapter 2, “Installing the Adapter Hardware,” for details.

To install the adapter software for Windows NT, perform the following procedure:

1. Start your Windows NT system and log in.

You must have Network Administrator privileges to install the driver software.
